MCB Tripping Characteristics

The speed of the MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) tripping varies with the degree of the overload. This is usually achieved by the use of a thermal device in the MCB.

Type B -

trips between 3 and 5 time full load current


This type of the tripping characteristic is designed for residential circuit protection in Europe standard. It can also be applied to protect computer devices and electronic equipments.

This type of the tripping characteristic is designed to give protection against overloads and short circuits for general devices.
